Supporting refugees with Ben & Jerry’s

Not content with creating great ice cream, Ben & Jerry’s has always taken a stance on social issues. For its European campaign in support of refugees, B&J enlisted purpose to create messaging that was appropriate for each market.

For Germany, I helped create messaging promoting Ben & Jerry’s partnership with the charity Start with a Friend (SwaF), which encourages friendships between German locals and refugees. The messaging had to be relevant to the product as well as the partnership, and was refined with small-scale testing on Facebook before going live at scale.
